This is not a long book but it's packed with brilliance. Roger Evans writes the story of Catalan composer Xavier Montsalvatge in a way that makes it interesting for everyone, even those of us who know nothing about the man until now. It's hard to imagine that Montsalvatge is not more famous considering his seemingly endless talents. If you're a music fan or even just a lover of all things Catalan (that's me), then you'll want to read this book. Looking forward to Mr. Evans' next book.
